Veteran Services
Mitchell Jacob stands for increased funding of veteran’s services. No veteran deserves to be forgotten. I will fight for home ownership grants for returning veterans and an Oklahoma version of the Hazelwood Act.
Inclusion
Mitchell Jacob stands for inclusion. I welcome all people for who they are regardless of their religion, ideology, background, gender, race, nationality, sexuality, beliefs, or background. I believe Oklahoma can be a home for all.
Living Wage
Mitchell Jacob stands for a living wage for all. Any person who works full-time should be able to afford life. I support State Question 832 which seeks to increase the minimum wage in Oklahoma to $15/hour by 2029.
Parental Leave
Mitchell Jacob stands for parental leave for both parents. Every parent deserves the right to bond with their new baby without fear of being fired. I believe in 120 days minimum of job-protected leave.
Education
Mitchell Jacob stands for fully funded OK public schools, repealing the Parental Choice Tax Credit Act, and increasing teacher salaries.
Green Energy
Mitchell Jacob stands for a decarbonized grid. Did you know that in 2022, 44% of Oklahoma’s electricity needs came from wind? We can shutter coal plants, keep gas plants in reserve, and increase our reliance on wind energy without sacrificing reliability.
School-aged Lunch & Breakfast
Mitchell Jacob stands for universal free lunch and breakfast for school-aged children in Oklahoma.
Infrastructure
Mitchell Jacob stands for better infrastructure. I support reliable internet for all and I do not support the turnpike extension through House District 20.
Tribal Sovereignty
Mitchell Jacob stands for tribal sovereignty. I recognize and respect the inherent sovereignty of the tribes and the great state of Oklahoma. We must stop the crusade against tribal sovereignty.
Small Business
Mitchell Jacob stands for small business. I stand for new businesses being tax exempt for their first five years in business or $500K in annual revenue.
OGCA
Mitchell Jacob stands for business. I believe that we can overhaul the Oklahoma General Corporations Act and attract more businesses.
Single-payer Healthcare
Mitchell Jacob supports single-payer healthcare and believes that basic healthcare is a human right.
Sovereign Wealth Fund
Mitchell Jacob stands for establishing Oklahoma’s first sovereign wealth fund. I believe that we should convert the state rainy day fund into a sovereign wealth fund to invest in Oklahoma.
Alternative Pathways
Mitchell Jacob stands for alternative educational pathways: certificates programs, apprenticeships, and technical schools.
Safe Streets
Mitchell Jacob stands for properly funding prosecutors, social services, and public defender services. Mitchell Jacob stands for a fully-funded DAC, OIDS, LASO, and increasing the budget for mental health services.
Animal Violence
Mitchell Jacob stands for an exploitation-free Oklahoma. I do not support any measures to reduce cockfighting from a felony to a misdemeanor. Nor do I support cruelty against any animals.
Service OK Expansion
Mitchell Jacob stands for expanding state services available online. I believe that in 2024, agencies should be able to accept applications, process renewals, and review transfers through Service Oklahoma.
Tax & Savings
Mitchell Jacob stands for lower taxes and savings: three year vehicle registrations, no grocery tax, and small business incentives.
